  • More teenagers and young adults die from suicide than from cancer, heart disease, AIDS, birth defects, stroke, pneumonia, influenza, and chronic lung disease, combined.
  • On an "average" day in the United States, there are more than 5,200 suicide attempts by young people in grades 7-12.

While these facts are disturbing, there is hope. By educating ourselves and others, we can make a difference.
