Kansas law requires school districts to provide information regarding immunization requirements to families twice annually. The documents available via the "Spring 2024 Immunization Notice" link below comprise the first of these annual notices for the current year. Please review these documents for local policy and state law. Additionally, immunization recommendations of the CDC are available. Summer break is a good time to schedule immunizations (vaccinations) at your medical provider's office, or at the Harvey County Health Department (HCHD) in Newton. NOTE: The HCHD is part of the Vaccines for Children Program (VFC) that provides vaccines at reduced cost, or no cost, for eligible children. Call 316-283-1637 or stop in at 215 S.
