Welcome to the 2025-26 school year!

The first day of school is quickly approaching, and our staff is working diligently to prepare a great experience for each of our students.  Thanks to our incredible educators and the amazing families in our community, Hesston USD 460 has a track record of excellence in both academic preparation and student athletic and activity pursuits.  Our intention is to build upon our past successes and raise our expectations even higher in the year to come.

While it is always exciting to start a new school year, 2025-26 brings added enthusiasm with the official opening of our bond construction project at the middle/high school building.  Our USD 460 maintenance and operations staff, along with our contractors and construction teams, are working hard to ensure our facilities are ready for the first day of school.  Many of our teachers have gained access to their new classrooms and are working to create the very best learning environments for our students. There is still some work to do to complete all of the construction, but we will be ready for our students on August 14.

For our parents of students in grades 5-12, we will provide communication on the specifics of the new facilities including student drop-off and pick-up information with you this week. These details, along with other relevant information, will be shared through our website Live Feed and our USD 460-Hesston Schools Facebook page. We will also post in this section of the website for district-wide updates, and you can check the elementary, middle, and high school homepages for latest news, as well.

Additionally, we will soon schedule an opportunity for everyone in the community to visit the completed middle/high school building and see all of the exciting new spaces and features.  Our USD 460 team is so very grateful for our new facilities and look forward to the instructional and programmatic opportunities that will be available to our students and staff moving forward.
