The board of education (BOE) of Hesston USD 460 will hold a hearing on June 12, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., to consider amending the 2022-23 budget. The Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) notified the district that, after completion of the KSDE audit of enrollment and weightings, the computed general fund for USD 460 is less than the adopted general fund. In order to spend the additional authority of the computed general fund, the BOE must adopt an amended budget. The June 12 hearing provides the public an opportunity for comment.
