USD 460 Families,
We are approaching the winter season and with that comes the potential for inclement weather that can sometimes cause school closure. We want to share our procedures for communicating with our school community.
There are a number of ways winter weather can impact school, including very cold temperatures and/or wind chills, winter precipitation, road conditions, winter weather forecasts, etc. When it is determined we need to close or delay school, our goal is to make this call just as soon as we are able.
If we determine that we need to close or delay school due to inclement weather, we will share this information through the following platforms:

In the event that we delay school, we will call that a "Late Start," and each school building will begin at 10:00 am.
It is important to have your contact information updated in Infinite Campus to ensure you receive the immediate email and/or text notifications. Also, if we determine it is safe to have school, we will not send out any notifications.
